Steven McMullin

Steven received his post secondary education at SAIT in Calgary in professional cooking and completed his Cook’s Red Seal in Winnipeg, MB. He has graduated from courses in web design and photo shop, at Red River College in Winnipeg.

Steven’s passions range from art, music, entertaining and being with family (he has two young sons), to an overpowering enthusiasm for the culinary arts and culinary commerce. Once Steven gets going in the kitchen, it is often difficult to staunch the outpouring of creativity.

Steven was born in Winnipeg and has lived and worked at resorts in Halifax, Montreal, Toronto, Clear Lake, and Jasper to name a few.

He easily recounts a shore lunch of fresh caught walleye on a remote strip of beach on Lake of the Woods, Ontario, as being one his favourite personal experiences. The culinary delight of the freshwater fish cooked to perfection, while surrounded by the granite monoliths of the Canadian Shield, the only sounds the fluttering of the birch leaves and the quiet lapping of the waves on the rocks, has been permanently etched in his memory.
